Todd Wilder has been generating research, providing analysis and successfully applying the results in political campaigns for more than 20 years. And today, as a Master’s level Political Science professor at Florida State University in Tallahassee, FL, is one of only a handful campaign professionals in the United States to teach specifically on the subject opposition research in a master’s degree program
Wilder has a long and distinguished record in public service, law enforcement campaigns and research. In the mid 1990's he served as Legislative Director for Florida Governor Lawton Chiles where he directed the day-to-day legislative activity of the Executive Office of the Governor, Chief of Staff to Florida’s Lt. Governor, Staff Director for the Florida Senate Minority Caucus – where he also directed the caucuses political campaign efforts in the late 1990’s and Chief of Staff in the Broward County Sheriff’s Office (America’s largest Sheriff’s Office). Since 2007 Wilder has been in the private sector leading political, research direct mail and public service firms.
Wilder’s first statewide campaign experience came during the 1994 campaign to re-elect Florida Governor Lawton Chiles where he served as research director. Since then Wilder has worked in Republican and Democratic campaigns across the United States to elect Presidents, Governors, Members of Congress, State Legislators and County officials as well as numerous campaigns to pass and stop local and statewide initiatives. Wilder has also worked internationally in Parliamentary campaigns in Ukraine (in-country) during the resurgent democratic elections of 2007 and the Presidential campaign in the Republic of Georgia (based in the U.S.) later that same year.
Todd Wilder resides in Tallahassee Florida where he runs the day to day operations of Silver Bullet Research and is on the faculty at Florida State University.
